If you are new to vaping, you may have some issues that led to a less than satisfactory experience. If you are trying to quit smoking, this frustration can at worst tempt you to light up a cigarette. In this article, we'll explain the most common problems new freelancers face and how you can solve them.
Why does disposable or pre-filled vape spit?
If you go to vape and feel hot e-liquid on your lips, chances are your vape is "spitting". This is not a pleasant experience and can lead to a nicotine overdose. Fortunately, this common problem is easy to fix. If your device is a "closed system", that means it is pre-filled, the liquid is compatible with the device. Spitting is caused by the e-liquid saturating over the heart and coil. To remove excess e-liquid, place a paper towel over the mouthpiece of the device and then vigorously wipe the device 3-5 times. This removes the excess liquid and allows you to enjoy the vapor again.
Why does a refillable vape spit?
If you use a refillable device, spitting has the same cause of oversaturation, but the cause may be slightly different. First, you need to check the VG/PG mix of your chosen e-liquid and make sure it is compatible with the device or coil you are using. The higher the PG content, the thinner the e-liquid. As a rule of thumb, we recommend 30% PG blends for our larger DL/RDL coils and no more than 50% PG for our smaller MTL coils. The reason for spitting is also if the device is not used for a long time. If your tank/pouch has been left with e-liquid unused for more than 24 hours, there is a higher chance that the battery is flooded. As with a pre-filled vape, you place a paper towel over the mouthpiece of the device and flick the device vigorously 3-5 times to remove excess e-liquid. If the e-liquid is too thin for the chosen device, you may also need to switch to a thicker e-liquid. Why does the refillable vape burn? The most common cause of dry hits is a low e-liquid level. You can avoid this by keeping your tank or tank full. We recommend keeping your device at least 1/3 full during use as this will ensure optimal performance. Also, be sure to wait until the battery is saturated with e-liquid when filling a new tank or installing a new coil. After filling the tank/capsule for the first time, wait at least 5-10 minutes before taking the first vapor. If you start using the device too soon, the coil will not saturate, resulting in burnt vapor. Another common cause of dry hits is using an e-liquid that is too thick for the coil or body. The higher the VG content of the e-liquid, the thicker it is. If your vape has a small coil or body, or is designed for "MTL" vape, it is best to use thinner e-liquids with a VG/PG ratio of 60/40 or 50/50. Liquids with a higher VG content may not absorb effectively in smaller devices, resulting in a burnt taste. The main cause of dry shocks in rechargeables is that the coil/pad has simply reached the end of its life. Even if you use the right e-liquid for your device, it leaves a residue in your vape. Over time, this weakens the spiral. If the coil has been used a lot for 1-2 weeks without problems, but after that it starts to give a burning taste, it's time to change to a fresh coil.
Why does disposable or pre-filled vape leak?
Prefilled and disposable vaporizers rarely leak due to their design and assembly. However, if you notice major leaks, it is likely due to a manufacturing defect. In this case, you must return to the place of purchase of the coat of arms and ask for a solution.
Why does refillable vape leak?
Refillable vaporizer leaks are usually caused by one of three problems. The first is to use an e-liquid that is too thin for the coil or body. As with spitting, leakage occurs when the coil is oversaturated. Since these things are related, it is best to check the VG/PG mix of the e-liquid and see if it is compatible with your device. Switching to an e-liquid with a VG/PG ratio that matches your coil or body will greatly reduce the chance of leakage. Another common cause of leaks is an improperly installed coil. When installing a new coil, make sure it is attached without visible gaps or movement. If there is a space between the coil and its attachment point, it may need to be tightened to form a proper seal. Another common cause of leakage is that the device is not used for a long time. If your tank/container has been left unused with e-liquid for more than 24 hours, there is a higher chance of leakage. If you don't vape regularly, it's best to only add when you intend to use the device.
