Your vapor probably goes with you almost everywhere. With this in mind, there will likely be situations from time to time where there is a high probability that the device will fall into water. If this has happened to you, there is no need to be ashamed, because it happens to almost everyone at one time or another. However, the problem with dripping steam into water is that water and wires don't mix. Dropping the steam into the water will most likely kill it permanently. In some cases, however, there may be hope of reactivating the device after being immersed in water. In this article, we share some tips that can help you revive instead of blowing away.
What happens when you drop a shaker in water?
If you release steam into water, the first thing you should do is remove it from the water immediately. If the device does not have special protective devices that prevent water from entering, moisture will flood its interior almost immediately. There are three things you must do when infusing steam into water. To reduce the ingress of water, you must immediately remove the device from the water. With any luck, you'll remove the device before the water can contaminate the internal electronics. Do not attempt to operate the device as it may cause a short circuit. If the device has a removable battery, remove the battery and leave the battery cover open to promote airflow. Remove as much water as possible from inside and outside the unit. We'll talk more about that soon.
How to fix your vape after it's been dropped in water?
So you just dropped your vaporizer into the water. What should you do? As mentioned above, your main goal should be to avoid short circuiting. The device must be removed from the water immediately. If the device has a removable battery, remove the battery and set it aside. Leave the battery cover off. If you are using a device with a removable tank or case, remove the tank or case as well and set it aside. If necessary, you can clean the part in question by washing it with clean water and leaving it outside to dry it. Since there are no electronic components in the vape tank or body, there is no need to worry about short circuits. It is also important to ventilate the steam as widely as possible, as this promotes air movement throughout the device. After removing as many vapor components as possible, the next step is to manually remove as much excess water as possible. Use paper towels to remove water from the surface of the device. If you have a pocket system, dry the compartment at the top of the unit after removing the case. If you have a vape mod with a removable battery, dry the battery compartment. One of the easiest ways to remove water from a disposable vaporizer is to blow through the device to force the water out of the vent. Hold the paper towel over the suction hole on the bottom of the device while blowing hard through the mouthpiece. If water got into the device, you can remove a lot of it. How to remove all the water from the evaporator
If you have followed all of the above steps, you have given yourself the best chance of fixing the steam, as most of the water that entered the unit should now be gone. However, do not try to use the device immediately, because you cannot be sure that you have removed all the water from inside the device. The last thing you should do before re-vaping is to place the unit in an environment that encourages the last moisture particles to escape. You can do this by placing your steamer in a container with absorbent material. You may have seen videos and articles online that recommend using dry rice as a desiccant after dropping an electronic device in water. You can do this by filling a plastic container with rice and placing it in the device. Every few hours, move the appliance to a dish to redistribute the rice and move moisture away from the appliance. However, some people have argued that using rice to dry an electronic device isn't really a good idea, because rice can block airflow and actually doesn't absorb moisture as effectively as it seems. If you've tried using rice to repair your device in the past and it didn't work, you can put the vape in a container with silica gel packs instead. If you've unboxed a new electronic device or a pair of shoes and seen a small package labeled "Do Not Eat," that package was filled with silica gel. Silica gel is known for absorbing and trapping moisture and does an excellent job of removing water that has accumulated in the steam. You can buy packets of silica gel online and at many home improvement stores. If you can't find rice or silica gel, another possible way to fix the steam after you drop it in the water is to simply put it in front of a fan for 24 hours.
